During the contemporary art event, NUIT BLANCHE 2009, in Paris:

plumes

It is raining in St. Merri church…
It is raining concrete…
It is raining concrete feathers…

These feathers, which come from the sky, are made of virtual Craters Concrete.

A fragile and contradictory balance between harmony and chaos appears with this rain of feathers…

The feathers belong to angels who are losing them.

To discover all the feathers and angels, which are moving between paintings, furniture and other atypical objects

so characteristic of St Merri church, you have to explore all of the space:
- “large feathers" are falling from the sky.

Some sway back and forth towards the floor, while others are going down more hastily
- ”clouds of small feathers" are vibrating under the wings of numerous sculptures and paintings of angels
- “virtual angels” are speaking and flapping their wings.

Every ten minutes you can hear the sound of the rain, it is the deluge: all the feathers are now falling in a downpour.

Is it due to the angels who are raging?

There exists a range of contrasts:
- disconnect of objects in the church / harmony of the rain of feathers
- lightness of the feather / heaviness of the concrete
- concrete: a passive material / Crater Concrete : a material that becomes alive (via sound and video)
- visual downpour of feathers / sonic downpour of rain.

30 000 of you discovered PLUME with its intimate spirit.

Thank you.
